Bellinazzo, Chiuso and Cox/Manno win the CONI Literary Competition
This decision was taken by the committee chaired by Paolo Garimberti and comprising Pier Bergonzi, Giovanni Bruno, Maurizio Felugo, Mara Navarria, Riccardo Signori and Umberto Zapelloni, following a thorough examination of the works submitted
Marco Bellinazzo with ‘It’s the Fault of Those Who Die”, published by Fandango, in the fiction section; Cristina Chiuso and her *Con la testa sott’acqua*, written for Add in the non-fiction section; Maria Christina Cox and Renato Manno with *Il cancro si batte anche con lo sport*, published by Calzetti Mariucci, in the technical section. These are the winners of the 60th edition of the CONI Literary Competition.
This decision was taken by the committee chaired by Paolo Garimberti and comprising Pier Bergonzi, Giovanni Bruno, Maurizio Felugo, Mara Navarria, Riccardo Signori and Umberto Zapelloni, following a thorough examination of the works submitted.
In the fiction section, alongside *Il Sole 24 Ore* journalist Marco Bellinazzo, the second prize went to Christian Paoletti for *Due ragazzi* (published by Nulla Die), whilst Paola Cereda received a special mention for *L’unico finale possibile* (published by Bollati Boringhieri). In the non-fiction section, behind former swimmer Cristina Chiuso, the second prize went to Andrea Schiavon for *Prima di vincere* (published by Add), whilst a special mention was awarded to Martina Frammartino for *Le principesse del ghiaccio* (published by Slam). In the technical section, second prize went to Carlo Varalda for *Guida teorico-pratica alla propriocezione* and a special mention to Marco Beato and Roberto Sassi for *Preparazione fisica nel calcio moderno*, both published by Calzetti Mariucci.
Marco Bellinazzo’s book has also won the 2026 Invictus Grandi Lettori Award – Panathlon Prize and the 2026 Bancarella Sport Award this year.
