On the podium of the European ranking of Best small & medium workplaces of Great place to work is also an Italian IT company, young but on the rise: Bending spoons, which is in third place. There are three Italian companies in the top one hundred, the other two being Alnylam, a company in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector, in 24th place, and Skylabs, a company active in digital consultancy, also in the It sector, in 93rd place. Three companies for the CEO of Great Place to Work for Italy, Alessandro Zollo, are few for a country like ours where there are still many things to improve: "The ranking," says the manager, "confirms that Italy is still not a country where people are listened to, and the European Workforce Study published this year by Great Place to Work itself has shown this. However, even in a national context where listening and supporting employees are not yet a widespread priority, some Italian companies manage to stand out as virtuous. These companies are breaking the mould of an organisational culture that is still too closely linked to control and hierarchy, focusing instead on trust, shared responsibility and valuing people'.

Scrolling through the ranking, made up of the top 100 European organisations representing 21 countries (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom), certified as Great Place To Work and with between 50 and 499 employees in the Old Continent, When comparing European countries, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom lead the ranking with 13 organisations each, followed by Spain (12), Germany and Sweden (10), Belgium, France and Norway (7), Cyprus, Denmark, Greece and Portugal (5), Austria (4), Finland, Ireland, Italy (3), Luxembourg and Switzerland (2), Iceland, Poland and Turkey (1). Among sectors, Information Technology dominates (37%), ahead of professional services (15%), other sectors (11%), biotechnology and pharmaceuticals; education and training (6%), financial services and insurance (4%), manufacturing and production (3%), and advertising and marketing (3%).
