According to reliable sources, Claudio Sforza will be the new CEO of Benetton Group. The official appointment is expected for the shareholders' meeting on 18 June, which will mark the changing of the guard in the company's cockpit with the exit of the current CEO Renon.

In the past, Sforza has held high-profile positions in large public and private companies and in various industrial sectors: from Astaldi to the Post Office, via Ilva, Telecom and Wind. A graduate in Economics and Commerce from the University of Rome, La Sapienza, he began his career in the Administration and Finance area of Pfizer. He then developed his career in the world of telecommunications, with roles of increasing responsibility inItalc able, Iritel, and Netscalibur, where he took on the role of General Manager, before joining IT Net as CEO. At Wind, he led the commercial division, both for large and small/medium-sized companies.

He then spent a further eight years at Poste as Chief Financial Officer, also leading the subsidiary Postel until 2011. He was subsequently CEO of Gamenet. Finally, he was Attorney for the management and liquidation of Astaldi's Destined Assets.

It will therefore be up to him to manage the reorganisation and relaunch of Benetton Group's business, which in the financial year 2023, examined by the board of directors, recorded a red of 230 million.
