The acquisition of Cosmei was the latest strategic move by Berlin Packaging, a supplier of packaging and closures in glass, plastic and other materials in various sectors - from beauty to food to personal care - with more than one hundred years of experience in the industry, more than 1,100 professionals and a global network of suppliers and warehouses in 16 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa that closed 2024 with a global group turnover of $3 billion, a third of which was generated in the Emea region. "A figure calculated considering all the industries in which we operate," explains Vivien Charrey, managing director of Berlin Packaging Beauty. The forecasts for 2025 reflect our strategic objective to achieve growth in excess of that of the reference market thanks to our constant focus on innovation, excellence in service quality and the ability to adapt to customer needs.
The beauty sector has historically had its largest and most consolidated market share in Italy for the company, "but our presence also extends extensively throughout the Emea area and the United States, where we have been active and recognised for years," Charrey continues. "At the same time, we see significant opportunities for expansion, particularly in strategic markets such as France and the United Kingdom, where we expect to further strengthen our position and penetration in the short term.
A chapter in itself is Stocksmetic, 'our e-commerce specialising in primary and secondary packaging for the perfumery, cosmetics, pharma, make-up and home fragrance sectors, which grows and improves year on year and addresses a globally distributed customer base.
Conceived as a B2B and B2C platform, Stocksmetic supports a broad spectrum of customers: from beauty brands to production and contract companies, to small businesses such as beauty salons, hairdressing salons, barber shops and pharmacies, offering ready-to-use solutions to easily and professionally develop their own product line.
Also in the beauty sector, the company has just completed the acquisition of Cosmei, an Italian make-up packaging company. "Thanks to this transaction," concludes the manager, "Berlin Packaging Beauty expands and completes its offer for the cosmetics sector, also strengthening its positioning in the indie, prestige and masstige segments. Cosmei's strength lies precisely in the development of innovative packaging solutions, from the most functional essentials to high-impact bespoke designs, realised in close collaboration with cosmetic brands. This acquisition marks another important milestone in Berlin Packaging's ongoing investment in the beauty sector, strengthening its position as a partner of choice for innovative, flexible and future-oriented solutions. In addition, we will continue to develop our e-commerce Stocksmetic: we were pioneers in opening a packaging-related e-commerce for small to medium-sized customers and the success achieved shows that we were on the right track.
