The aim is to protect uncontaminated areas, sand and vegetation. For a dozen or so beaches in Sardinia, the closed number is starting, with restrictions, controls and precautions to be followed. In some cases, the measures started in mid-May, in some others, they start in July.
The Decalogue
In the decalogue of rules to be followed, there is a ban on smoking, a ban on playing ball, rackets, to continue with the obligation to use mats to be placed under the tarpaulins to avoid removing sand.
Access to beaches will not be the same for everyone. In each locality there are different regulations and modalities.
The South West
At Tuerredda, in the municipality of Teulada, access to the beach is restricted. Every day, 1,100 people can access the beach. Inside the beach smoking is prohibited except in authorised areas, and it is forbidden to remove sand, shells, pebbles. And plastic free, with a ban on bags, dishes and other non-biodegradable plastic material. As for the entrance, as stated on the tuerredda.spacli.it website, where the availability of places is indicated in real time, "it is only possible to book places for the equipped beach. For the public beach, only the order of arrival is respected'.
La Pelosa in Stintino
At Pelosa, in Stintino, access is by reservation. It can be made either through Qr code or through the spiaggiapelosa.it website. There are 1,500 places available on La Pelosa beach per day. Reservations for access to the beach can be made 'for 500 places at any time without time limits for the period from 15 May to 15 October 2025'. Not only that: 'for 1,000 places not earlier than 48 hours after the date of access to be booked'. In addition, children under the age of 12 do not have to make reservations.
