Bmw Italia, strong start to the year
The Italian subsidiary closed the first quarter of the year with a rising performance, confirming and improving on the good results of 2025. Bmw iX3 order boom above expectations.
Bmw Italia registered a total of 25,448 units of its Bmw and Mini brands in the first three months of the year, up 9.9% compared to the same period last year. In particular, BMW registered 20,651 units, 5.4% more than in 2025, and 4,797 Minis 34.7% more. The performance of electric cars was also very positive, reaching a total of 1,885 units, a growth of 13.2%, broken down as follows: Bmw 1,370 + 12.9% and 515 Mini + 14.2%. Bmw's electrified cars also grew: 3,780 units sold + 109.9%. Finally, the two-wheeler division Bmw Motorrad maintained its leadership in the premium market in the over 500cc and over 750cc segments with 4,191 motorbikes and scooters sold in three months.
Debut beyond expectations for the new BMW iX3
A further positive development was the debut of the Bmw iX3, the first car of the new Neue Klasse family that arrived at dealerships on 7 April and has since been attracting orders above expectations. So much so that BMW is working to ensure additional product availability in 2026 for the Italia market. In general, there is satisfaction for a path taken in recent years with all brands and continuing successfully with the electrification process, always within a perimeter of technological openness where the final choice lies with the customer. The performance of the Italian subsidiary is solid in all segments of the premium market, but without overlapping or cannibalisation within.
