BolognaFiere: the go-ahead has been given for a 20 million capital increase
The share capital increase, offered to shareholders at €1.25 per share, will be completed by March 2027. The board of directors has been authorised to carry out a €4 million increase reserved for the local authority.
The extraordinary general meeting of BolognaFiere unanimously approved, by those present (representing approximately 95 per cent of the share capital), a capital increase of up to 20 million to be offered to shareholders on a rights basis at 1.25 euros per share, to be completed by 31 March 2027.
According to a statement issued by the company, the funds will be used to support the group’s growth, ‘including through strategic investments in the development and expansion of the business’.
The general meeting also granted the Board of Directors a mandate, valid until 29 September 2028, for a second capital increase of up to four million, reserved for the Municipality of Bologna and without pre-emption rights for the other shareholders. Palazzo d’Accursio would pay for the new shares by contributing assets deemed useful to the company’s business. The authorisation, the group explains, ensures flexibility and speed in acquiring the assets best suited to the company’s strategy.
