Record temperatures in Bolzano: at least 35 degrees for 23 days
The heatwave currently affecting South Tyrol is already setting its first record highs. South Tyrolean meteorologist Dieter Peterlin has summarised the situation, pointing out that Bolzano has now recorded its 23rd day with temperatures of 35 degrees or higher.
With this figure, the current season has officially surpassed the previous records set in 2015 – which stood at 22 days – and in 2003 – 21 days. According to the expert’s forecast, the number of scorching days is set to rise further given the temperatures predicted for the coming days.
