The deletion of videos from the security camera in his flat in the heart of Rome cost former Sogei CEO Paolino Iorio, who was arrested on Monday evening in Rome while he was pocketing a €15,000 bribe from entrepreneur Massimo Rossi, former director of Italware and Itd Solution (Digital Value Group).
Deleted tests
.The Prosecutor's new charge, a real twist, emerged during the validation hearing before the gip. Prosecutors Lorenzo Del Giudice and Gianfranco Gallo, who had initially called for the manager to be put under house arrest, said that checks had revealed that the last 15 days of video footage from the cameras that Iorio had placed in his home for personal security had been deleted. The discovery was made as part of a new house search during which the Guardia di Finanza, precisely on the recommendation of the same suspect, found hidden in a wardrobe over 100,000 euro, the proceeds of bribes. This is precisely the amount of money that, according to the magistrates, Iorio would have illicitly received from the entrepreneur with whom he had, since February 2023, meetings twice a month. For the investigators, the manager wanted to erase the evidence, hence the request to aggravate the precautionary measure. For the gip, in the precautionary requirements crystallised in the order, there is the 'concrete risk of reiteration of the crime and probative pollution'.
Iorio, the leadership role in Sogei

Assignments that placed him at the top of the chain of command, alongside the CEO. In addition
