Pope Leo XIV 'will be a second Pope Francis'. This was assured by his brother John Prevost, interviewed by CNN Wbbm. "I think he will follow in his footsteps by working for the underprivileged," he explained, emphasising that in his opinion he will be a good Pope because he has "a deep feeling for the underprivileged, for the poor, for those who are not listened to." John Prevost explained that his brother "in his heart, in his soul, wanted to be a missionary. He didn't want to be a bishop or a cardinal, but that's what he was asked to do and that's what he did,' he said, emphasising that the new pontiff will be very active around the world and 'will say what he thinks'.
As for the moment of the election, John Prevost reveals: 'It was shocking. I was on the phone with my niece and we couldn't believe it. Then my mobile phone, iPad and home phone went crazy'. Robert Francis Prevost is the youngest of three children, raised by a school superintendent father and a librarian mother in the south suburbs of Chicago. "We had a normal childhood. It's a little strange, but all three of us knew what we wanted to do from an early age,' the 71-year-old former Catholic school headmaster said again.
