It makes one think of a four-leaf clover the meeting organised on the first day of Milan Fashion Week by Brunello Cucinelli, one day ahead of the official presentation of the women's collection for spring-summer 2026. Clothes and accessories are the first petal, because the brand's proposal is becoming more and more artisanal: "With one of the shirts in the collection, we have set a new record of 66 hours of craftsmanship and I can say that we have reached a very high percentage, 65%, of handmade creations, considering women's and men's," explained Cucinelli. "This is the path we have chosen and of which we are increasingly convinced: from creativity interpreted by skilled hands comes the authentic exclusivity that allows us to continue to have excellent feedback from customers all over the world.

Returning to the cloverleaf of pleasant surprises, Cucinelli recalled the award he had just received from his daughters Carolina and Camilla for the 25th edition of the 'Chi è Chi Fashion Awards'. The third "petal" is the docufilm directed by Giuseppe Tornatore that will be presented at Cinecittà on 4 December and that Cucinelli saw over the weekend, confessing that he "was moved" by the story in words and images of his human and entrepreneurial history. Last but not least, to complete the four-leaf clover, the positive balance of the "Week of Custody" that ended on Sunday in Perugia, conceived to "sensitise citizenship to the promotion of a civic culture of custody and embellishment".

Up to this point, a four-leaf clover of themes dear to Cucinelli - craftsmanship, family, culture and the custody of creation, in all its forms -, but there was no shortage of a little grand final coup de théâtre. "We must look at this historical moment with optimism, I see the first signs of a revolutionary return to the pleasure of confrontation, of deepening important themes, of repudiating war as an instinct that drives to self-destruction," Cucinelli said in front of a bewildered audience, given the discouraging news from the Middle East and the cities that are the scene of urban guerrilla warfare. Let's think about it though: the bombings continue, but at the UN assembly in New York, words and ambitions for peace are being heard as they have not been for a long time. As for our cities: aren't we all inviting people not to identify the participatory peace demonstrations with the provocative violence of a few? This, we believe, is the meaning of Cucinelli's words: let us listen to the voices of peace, ignore the noise of war and protect the space for genuine confrontation that so many - not a few - are trying to create.
