BTPs: spread widens to 104 points at the start of trading; 10-year yield rises to 4.65 per cent

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Eurozone government bond yields opened higher, extending their rise. The yield on the benchmark 10-year BTp, maturing on 1 July 2036, rose to 4.65 per cent from 4.60 per cent at yesterday’s close. This is the highest level in around three years. The spread against the Bund with the same maturity has widened further above the 100-point mark and stands at 104 basis points, two points higher than the previous close.
