The growth strategy of the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts division proceeds with new openings in the pipeline. The latest deal signed concerns the new Bulgari Resort & Mansions in Abu Dhabi planned for 2030, adding to a collection of nine luxury hotels worldwide and several branded residences developments. Since launching its first hotel in Milan in 2004, the Bulgari group has opened luxury hotels in Italy, Europe and the rest of the world, including the magnificent property in Rome, most recently opened in Piazza Augusto Imperatore, London, Paris, Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai, Bali and Tokyo. And in the pipeline are facilities in Miami Beach and Bodrum, planned between 2026 and 2027, and later in the Bahamas.
The new Abu Dhabi resort will be built on a private island in the shape of a horseshoe, with breathtaking views of the open sea on one side and the imposing Presidential Palace and city skyline on the other. The property will have 60 rooms and suites and 30 villas. In addition, 90 mansions of various sizes will be built in a landscaped setting that combines Italian elegance with Arabian tradition.
The project will be designed by the Milan-based studio ACPV ARCHITECTS, Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. The architecture of the resort will be a symbolic metaphor of glass and gold emerging from the sand, with an interplay of materials and forms reflecting the Emirate's unique identity and its tradition of craftsmanship and luxury.
The landscape design is instead entrusted to the Milan-based Land studio, which will create a visionary landscape deeply inspired by local culture and immersed in nature.
Project partner and owner of the property will be Eagle Hills, an Abu Dhabi-based private real estate development company founded by Mohamed Alabbar. Over 30 years, the group has created iconic landmarks and lifestyle destinations in more than 18 countries, with innovative projects both within and outside the UAE. Notable developments include Downtown Dubai, Belgrade Waterfront, Durres Waterfront, Riga Waterfront and Maryam Island.
