Culture and wine, a combination in vogue. And that is being proposed again in Naples, where the San Carlo Theatre has signed a partnership agreement with the Irpinian company Tenute Capaldo - Feudi di San Gregorio. A winery that is not new to this kind of initiative, having recently taken over vineyard management and winemaking in the archaeological park of Pompeii. In particular, the Irpinian company will dedicate a special edition of DUBL Metodo Classico, a multi-award-winning sparkling wine created in 2003, to the Neapolitan Massimo.
The collaboration, which will last two years, will accompany the San Carlo's 2025-2026 season, entitled "Be Luminous": a limited edition of only 3,000 bottles will be produced, made to pay homage to Europe's oldest opera house. They will be used for special events and sold on Feudi San Gregorio's distribution circuits.
The DUBL is a Millesimato Greco 2017, with 84 months of refinement on the lees. a very distinctive product and symbol of the sector in Campania. "It is the result of 20 years of study on the Irpinian territory combined with experience in sparkling wine-making techniques, brought as a dowry by the great names of Champagne and Italian sparkling wine".
On 17 February, starting at 6.30 p.m., on the occasion of the performance of Falstaff, a Carnival toast is planned in the Salone degli Specchi of the San Carlo Theatre: members of the San Carlo Community who will be attending the performance will be able to participate in a toast. They are invited to participate with a mask or accessory, inspired by the famous verse from Verdi's opera: "Tutto nel mondo è burla!".
