This system, already active in China with 500 stations, provides a charging power of up to 1,000 kW, enabling ultra-fast charging. BYD aims to deploy an ultra-fast network in Europe within the next 12 months, with the aim of mitigating the criticalities associated with Ev charging. This was stated by the Chinese carmaker's Vice President Stella Li at a press conference held yesterday in Brussels to explain the project. "BYD intends to develop the network in cooperation with local infrastructure companies, including installing fast-charging points at its dealerships.

This will be a turning point that will increase consumer confidence in electric driving,' Li said. The initiative includes Megawatt chargers that will complement the European launch of new electric vehicles based on the Super and Byd platform such as the Han L and Tang L. The system is designed to allow charging times of five minutes for a range of up to 400-470 km, depending on battery compatibility and vehicle generation. The company has not released further details on how many stations it intends to install and which countries will be affected.
