New energy, range expansion, design and technology. At the Beijing Motor Show, Byd reaffirms its strategy of expansion in all markets with the presentation of new models and restyling. From the Ocean-V family mobility concept to the Sealon 08 SUV, through to the over 1,000-horsepower Denza Z supercar, the world's fastest car, and the Yangwang U9 Xtreme, the aim of expanding the range to the premium and luxury segments in addition to the most popular models is evident. Electrification technologies, such as flash charging and the second-generation Blade battery, spread across all models, are the tools to facilitate the purchase of new energy vehicles in China and international markets.
The strategy is differentiated by areas. Denza N9 will be launched in Europe. On Seal 8, Sealion 8 and the third generation of Atto 3, an assessment is underway on how and when to land in Europe and also in Italia.
The spotlight was on Denza Z, the world's fastest spider. Displayed in Beijing as a cabriolet version with a retractable soft-top roof, the Denza Z was created by a global design team led by Wolfgang Egger. It integrates the DiSus-M system, an intelligent control system designed to handle extreme performance, with power output in excess of 1000 hp and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than two seconds. The Denza Z is a challenge to European competitors, traditionally dominating the luxury segment.
The Seal 08 and Sealion 08, the new flagships of the Ocean series that are candidates for landing in Europe, are an SUV and a sedan with essential lines, designed for families. Careful interiors and functionality are the elements that characterise them. Seal 8's front occupants have zero-gravity seats that recline at the touch of a button, while in the rear there are electric leg rests, multi-angle backrest adjustment and a touchscreen in the centre armrest. All seats include ventilation, heating and a massage function.
