Football, Gattuso new Italy coach: presentation in Rome on Thursday 19

Gennaro Gattuso is the new Italy coach. This has been announced by the Italian Football Federation. The coach from Calabria will be presented on Thursday 19 June, at 11 am, at the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Rome.

"Gattuso is a symbol of Italian football, the blue for him is like a second skin," said FIGC president Gabriele Gravina, formalising the appointment of Gennaro Gattuso as the new Italy coach. "His motivation, his professionalism and his experience will be fundamental to face the next commitments of the National team in the best way - underlined Gravina -. Aware of the importance of the goal we want to achieve, I thank him for the availability and the total dedication with which he has accepted this challenge, sharing the FIGC's project of overall development of our football, in which the blue jersey has a strategic centrality".
