Came, a leader in integrated solutions for the automation, control and security of residential, public and corporate environments, is responsible for the modernisation of the parking management system at Mexico City International Airport, one of the most important in Latin America with over 44.6 million passengers by 2025. This is where the teams and fans attending the opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will land.
A major event that prompted the airport's managing company to renew its infrastructure, including three multi-storey car parks for over 6,200 parking spaces serving the airport terminals. The choice fell on the technological project of Came Parkare, the Group's brand specialising in the design and creation of advanced systems for the management of automatic car parks, with the implementation of a unified platform for car park management and parking guidance, based on the Lince 7 software with multi-parking functionality, capable of managing several areas from a single supervision point. "We are proud that a strategic infrastructure such as Mexico City International Airport has chosen Came for a project that requires technological reliability, integration capabilities and a marked ability to adapt solutions to the customer's specific needs," explains Andrea Menuzzo, president and CEO of Came and second generation of the company founded by Paolo Menuzzo. "In complex contexts such as the airport, the value lies in the ability to develop evolved and scalable solutions, perfectly integrated into the customer's ecosystem and able to improve the user experience, safety and management efficiency.
The project is based on an access infrastructure with 11 entry and 22 exit gates, designed to guarantee dynamic flows and operational continuity, with more than 6,200 parking spaces, of which 5,193 are in indoor areas and 1,047 in outdoor areas. Entry number plate recognition systems, intelligent sensors for monitoring parking space availability, digital services to support the end user, such as the 'find my vehicle' function, and the integration of charging stations for electric vehicles will be provided. The installation is carried out in phases, ensuring the full operation of the car parks during the entire implementation period, with a dedicated service and maintenance presence during the first years of operation.
The Mexico City airport project is part of Came's consolidation path in the international airport sector, where the company has been operating for years in contexts characterised by high operational complexity, large traffic volumes and strong technological integration requirements. Among the main projects is Gatwick airport in London, one of the busiest in Europe, where Came's solutions manage eight parking areas for a total of about 40,000 parking spaces, through a highly customised system designed to guarantee continuity of service, scalability and integration with existing infrastructures. In Spain, Came Parkare has taken care of the technological renovation of the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airport car parks, intervening on the parking areas of the two terminals with an integrated solution that includes 53 entrances, 60 exits and 64 automatic checkouts for more than 17 thousand parking spaces, ensuring continuous operation and full integration with third-party systems.
