He was one of the last diehards of the Casalese camorra, guardian of important secrets, but after 26 years in prison, most of which were spent in a hard prison regime, Francesco Schiavone, known as 'Sandokan', undisputed head of the Casalesi clan, has decided to cooperate with justice. This was reported in the print edition of the daily newspaper 'Cronache di Caserta'. In recent days, the police have reportedly gone to Casal di Principe to propose to the relatives of the clan leader, including his son Ivahnoe, to enter the protection programme, confirming Sandokan's willingness to cooperate with the Dda of Naples.
