Camplus - a provider of university student housing in Italy - has entered into a new agreement with Harrison Street - a leading US alternative investment fund with a portfolio of more than USD 56 billion - under which Camplus will directly manage three university residences owned by the fund in Spain, in Oviedo, Pamplona and Salamanca.

The three residences are located in prominent urban university settings. In Oviedo, a city with more than 15 thousand university students, the facility offers 317 beds and numerous common areas, including a gymnasium, TV area, study room and canteen. In Pamplona, with a student population of more than 23,000, the residence opened in 2023 has 390 beds distributed in two towers, with flexible housing formulas between single, double and executive studio, and a full range of services. In Salamanca, home to one of Europe's oldest universities, the facility instead accommodates 260 students, and includes large shared spaces such as a canteen, co-working area and indoor garden.

Camplus' agreement with Harrison Street is part of an expansion plan abroad that includes, starting in September 2025, the opening of Camplus Castellón, a new residence located in the heart of the Spanish city of Castellón de la Plana, which will offer 183 beds with kitchen and private bathroom facilities. Another thousand places are planned in the coming years in France, in Paris, and again in Spain in Barcelona.

"This agreement," said Maurizio Carvelli, founder and CEO of Camplus, "represents an important step forward in our international growth strategy, and confirms Camplus' desire to position itself as a key player in the European Pbsa (purpose built student accommodation) market. Collaborating with a prestigious fund such as Harrison Street allows us to experiment with new management models and to strengthen the Camplus Ibérica platform, opening us up to further future developments that will take us to the milestone of 14,000 beds under management next academic year."
