Temporary closure of Naples airport for major runway redevelopment works.

In accordance with the four-year plan of interventions 2023-2026, from 19 January 2026 to 1 March 2026, the runway at Naples airport 'will be affected by radical upgrading works that will require the airport to be closed for 42 days'.
The intervention was planned during the period of the year historically characterised by lower air traffic in order to minimise inconvenience to users. The airlines, duly informed, will review their flight schedules on the basis of their own operational and commercial strategies.
The Salerno-Costa d'Amalfi airport, within the logic of a regional airport system, will be able to absorb part of the traffic normally handled by the Neapolitan airport, within the capacity limits set by Enac and based on slot requests received.
Airport infrastructures are subject to regular and periodic maintenance, both ordinary and extraordinary, in compliance with strict industry regulations and in line with the airport operator's priority commitment to ensure the highest safety standards.
