A car ran over a group of people in Stuttgart, Germany. Several people were injured at the scene. The police and fire brigade wrote this on X. According to Bild the driver was stopped. It is not yet clear whether it was a traffic accident.
The incident took place in the centre of Stuttgart at around 5.50 p.m. A black Mercedes G-class ran over several pedestrians in the zebra crossing who were on their way to the tram stop.

."There are more injured, including some seriously," a police spokeswoman said, saying she could not say for now what the exact number of people swept away was. "Rescue operations are still ongoing," she added.
