Car crashes into Lake Como: one woman seriously injured, one man missing

A serious accident occurred shortly after midnight last night on the Regina del Lago di Como state road, on the border between the municipalities of Brienno and Argegno (Como). A car with two people on board fell into the lake. A woman, who managed to get out of the car on her own before it sank, has been admitted to hospital in critical condition. A man, however, is missing. Firefighters, the coastguard and the Carabinieri are involved in the rescue operations. A helicopter rescue service has also been deployed.
