Carlo Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, will be heard today at 1.30pm by the Chamber's Industry Committees. The majority has tabled a motion on automotive and Stellantis in which it commits the government to put forward a proposal at EU level 'to immediately review the green deal path', 'to promote paths of transition of the Italian automotive supply chain not only towards electric cars' but also towards other 'technologically ecological solutions', to 'convene the top management of Stellantis to clarify the terms of the group's industrial plan in Italy', committing the company 'to communicate the data of employees leaving the Italian plants through the practice (with union agreements) of incentivised resignations'.

Opposition motion on Stellantis

On Stellantis, the oppositions are also moving with the presentation of a united motion: 'The government in recent months has not had the courage to make some simple and clear requests to Stellantis. In our motion we ask for", among other things, "the preparation of a package of initiatives to support the automotive production chain"; "the interruption of the process of pushing the relocation of suppliers' investments; the cessation of the use of temporary work; a recruitment plan to bring about a necessary generational change; the maintenance in Italy of the design sectors". Thus the leaders of Pd, 5s, Avs and Azione, according to whom 'it is time to change attitude'.
