Fondazione Cariverona alongside people at risk of poverty and social exclusion. The not-for-profit organisation is launching the Welfare Generativo call for proposals and is making available EUR 3 million to support concrete and innovative responses to these needs. The objective is to create connections, strengthen or innovate proximity territorial services, combat situations of hardship and indigence, to which young people, foreigners and large families are particularly exposed, and improve the quality of life of those in difficulty or at risk of marginalisation.
Three areas of intervention are envisaged: basic services for fragile population groups; training, empowerment, social entrepreneurship; cultural welfare. Underlying the call, there is a new approach to welfare based on two key ideas. The first is that in order to prevent and combat situations of hardship, it is necessary to create alliances on the territory. The second is that the final recipients are the protagonists of each intervention: the projects must be able to involve, enhance and co-responsible users and will have a maximum duration of 36 months.
Applications, to be submitted by 13 September, must be led by an organisation with its registered office or operational headquarters in one of the areas in which the Foundation operates (provinces of Verona, Vicenza, Belluno, Ancona and Mantua). The grant requested may not be less than Euro 70 thousand or more than Euro 150 thousand, with a minimum co-financing share of at least 30% of the total project cost. In the event of a successful grant application. Beneficiaries will have to undertake to start activities within 3 months of receiving the communication.
