"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, which took place on 1 September 2026, at the age of just 33." The news was shared on Instagram by Alexander’s Talent Management, the agency that represented the American actress.
Jeffery was a familiar face at Disney and in the film industry: the actress had in fact appeared in the series "Good Luck Charlie", "Rhythm and Blues" and in the films "Miss Guided", "Scream Queens", “Lie to Me”, “Girl on the Edge”, “Teacher of the Year” and “Spider-Man”. However, it was in 2018, with the first film in the Disney “Zombies” series, that Jeffery won over the general public in the role of Bree, a cheerleader at Seabrook High and one of the best friends of the protagonist Addison, played by Meg Donnelly. The actress also starred in the sequels “Zombies 2” (2020) and “Zombies 3” (2022), before returning to voice the character in the animated series “Zombies: The Re-Animated Series”, released in 2024.

Actor Milo Manheim also paid tribute to his friend and colleague with some photos on social media, describing her as “the sweetest, kindest and most loving person”. Manheim also shared a video of Jeffery with the cast of the TV show “iCarly”.
The cause of the actress’s death has not yet been disclosed; her agency has asked the public to respect the privacy of her family and those close to her.
