Italian luggage and accessories brand Carpisa has entered the Indian market with the opening of its first shop at the Phoenix Market City Mall in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The expansion follows a long-term licensing agreement between Naples-based Kuvera SpA (Carpisa) and Neopolis Brands, which plans to develop the brand across India with the aim of opening more than 100 shops by 2045.
Spread across Bengaluru through an omnichannel model, the launch campaign includes the flagship store at Phoenix Market City, corner shops within Shoppers Stop outlets, including the one in Bannerghatta, and a pop-up store at Brigade Orion Mall in Rajajinagar. Carpisa products will also be available through the brand's website and online platforms such as Myntra, Nykaa and Tata Cliq.
"India represents an extraordinarily dynamic and high-potential market _ says Maurizio Carlino, CEO of Carpisa _ we are proud to mark our entry with the opening of our first shop in Bangalore. Thanks to its size, energy and rapidly changing consumer landscape, we consider India a key pillar of our international growth strategy, with great expectations for the future."
The shop inauguration was celebrated with an event attended by Giandomenico Milano, Consul General of Italia in Bengaluru, actress Sobhita Dhulipala and members of Bengaluru's fashion, business and media community.
"Italia has long been admired for its fashion and design _ comments Giandomenico Milano _ Italian style is finding an increasingly wide audience among Indian consumers. Carpisa's entry into India is not simply a commercial expansion; it indicates a broader exchange between our two countries, where design, creativity and craftsmanship come together naturally".
