Joint operation with Unipol and Bper on Mps to counter the proposed merger formally presented in the morning by the board of Banco Bpm
The boards of directors of Unipol and Intesa Sanpaolo were held. Under consideration is a possible operation on Banca Mps. This was reported by the Radiocor agency, citing financial sources. The protagonists of the operation, an alternative to the friendly proposal announced earlier in the day by Banco Bpm and addressed to the board of Banca Mps for an aggregation on an equal footing, are therefore being outlined.
The terms of the possible, sensational, joint Intesa Unipol takeover offer are likely to be announced tomorrow morning, before the markets open.
