The Council of Ministers also gave the green light to the decree-law with 'urgent provisions for the extension of the authorisation for the transfer of military means, materials and equipment in favour of the Ukrainian government authorities'. This is the tenth decree of supplies to Kiev. The government also examined a draft decree law with 'urgent organisational measures to deal with situations of particular emergency, as well as for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan'.

Green light on Caivano bis decree

 

The Council of Ministers also approved the so-called Caivano bis decree. As announced in recent days by the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council, Alfredo Mantovano, the measure aims to transform the structure of the Extraordinary Commissioner for Caivano into a Commissioner for degraded areas in need of intervention. The Caivano model will thus be extended to other areas defined as 'high social vulnerability'. Seven have been identified: Rozzano (Milan), the Alessandrino-Quarticciolo district of Rome, the Scampia-Secondigliano district of Naples, Orta Nova (Foggia), Rosarno-San Ferdinando (Reggio Calabria), the San Cristoforo district of Catania and the Borgo Nuovo district of Palermo. 180 million has been earmarked for a three-year period, with a plan to be defined within two months by the extraordinary commissioner

Final OK to National Register of Historical Workshops

 

Today's Council of Ministers gave the final go-ahead to the draft legislative decree establishing the National Register of Historical Shops. The measure, implementing the competition law and proposed by the Minister for Public Administration, Paolo Zangrillo, protects and enhances the historical character and excellence of activities that have existed for at least fifty years and are of particular interest. A 'unique opportunity,' commented Minister Zangrillo, 'to preserve and hand down to future generations a unique cultural heritage throughout the world.
