Education, Cegos strengthens abroad and acquires the Dutch Euroforum
The acquisition allows the French group new synergies in one of the most advanced countries on the digital and public front
The training and development group Cegos continues its international expansion and in the year of its centenary strengthens itself in the Dutch market, one of the most advanced on the digital and public front, with the acquisition of Euroforum. Founded over half a century ago, in 1975, and based in Eindhoven, Euroforum is one of the leading players in the Dutch market thanks to a portfolio of over 300 training programmes covering sectors as diverse as finance, public policy, energy transition, data and artificial intelligence, healthcare, legal affairs and organisational development. The growth path of Cegos in the Dutch market, one of the most advanced in digitisation and innovation in lifelong learning also supported by public policies, allows the group to expand its international network of experts, partners and customers.
Due to the high degree of complementarity between the Euroforum and Cegos solution portfolios, the integration also opens up new opportunities for synergy, enabling a greater capacity to support Dutch companies and professionals in their skill development challenges, the sharing of consolidated know-how to enrich and diversify the training offer to individuals and companies, and the strengthening of support to international organisations and clients operating in the Netherlands in their training and transformation projects.
The Cegos Group was founded in 1926 and currently operates in 12 countries across Europe Asia and the Americas. It is also present in more than 50 countries. With 1,500 employees and more than 3,000 consulting partners, the Group trains 250,000 people worldwide every year and generates a turnover of 250 million euros. Emanuele Castellani, Executive Board Member of the Cegos Group and CEO of Cegos Italy explains that 'the entry of Euroforum is fully in line with our development strategy, as the Dutch market in this sector is one of the most mature and innovative in Europe. We are convinced that this alliance will create significant value both for our joint clients in Italy and the Netherlands and for our teams, as Cegos and Euroforum share the same vision: to put human potential at the centre of skill development, recognising in training a fundamental lever to accompany economic, technological and social transformations in an ambitious but responsible way'. For Jasperine Breeuwsma, CEO of Euroforum, joining Cegos is a milestone for the company: 'We share strong values and a common mission: to empower professionals. We want to contribute to the knowledge and development of professionals and we are excited to build this new chapter together'.
