Rome Chamber of Commerce, Tagliavanti unanimously re-elected president

Lorenzo Tagliavanti was unanimously re-elected unanimously President of the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, during the inaugural meeting of the new Chamber Council, held yesterday in the Temple of Vibia Sabina and Adriano. With 23 votes in favour out of 24 present (Tagliavanti abstained), the unanimous confirmation officially opens a new five-year cycle at the head of the Chamber institution. For Tagliavanti, president of the Rome Chamber of Commerce since 2015, this opens the third term, the last one possible under the statute.

"The re-election of Tagliavanti represents a sign of institutional continuity and effective dialogue between the local authorities and the economic system," the Rome Chamber of Commerce stressed in a note. "Being unanimously confirmed at the head of the Rome Chamber of Commerce is a reason for happiness and pride. We must build a development ecosystem to increase the productivity of our territories. The Chamber of Commerce is at the service of the almost 500,000 businesses in the territory and will continue to support them with development initiatives and policies and in complex challenges such as the digital and environmental transition," said the president. Tagliavanti also emphasised the need to focus on 'good bureaucracy', an essential element to efficiently manage strategic and fundamental tasks such as the Business Register.

Present at the inauguration of the Council (made up of a total of 25 members representing all the city's productive forces, including trade unions and professional orders) were, among others, the President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca and the Vice-President and Councillor for Economic Development Roberta Angelilli, who expressed their full support for the new mandate. Rocca described the re-election as a "positive signal" that strengthens institutional cooperation, while Angelilli highlighted the need for a shared strategic vision and drew attention to the regional 240 million euro plan for European funds, with 100 million to be deployed as early as the first quarter of 2026.
