Chanel: Lucia Pieroni appointed as new creative make-up director

Lucia Pieroni is Chanel’s new creative make-up director. She will work alongside the Make-up Creation Studio, reporting to Simona Cattaneo, president of fragrance & beauty.

Lucia Pieroni began her career in London, before moving to New York in 1995, where she worked with avant-garde contemporary artists and established fashion and beauty photographers. From the very beginning, her training as a painter has shaped her approach to make-up.

From 2006 to 2019, she was creative director of make-up at Clé de Peau Beauté (Shiseido Group), where she honed her holistic vision of beauty. Since then, she has forged long-standing collaborations with photographers and designers, helping to define the visual identity of countless fashion shows, editorials and campaigns.

At Chanel, she has worked alongside Matthieu Blazy since his first collection as creative director, presented in October 2025, and from that very first show she has created a beauty look that is perfectly in tune with his vision.
