Changan, Italian debut for models designed in Piedmont style centre
The Chinese brand arrives in 2026 with two electric SUVs, designed in the Rivoli style centre on the outskirts of Turin
Changan, China's fourth largest automotive group, is preparing for its debut in Italy with two electric suvs. Models that have a strong Italian component, thanks to the Design Centre Europe opened in Rivoli on the outskirts of Turin back in 2003. Around 300 people work there, on an area of over 3,000 square metres, confirming how Italy plays a fundamental role in the global automotive industry. Ready to market the two S05 models, designed in Rivoli, and the larger S07, it can count on a sales network of around 30 dealerships identified to date and ready to reach 100 in the next few years. A strong point of the Chinese brand, as declared by the Italian branch itself, is the availability of spare parts thanks to a dedicated warehouse in Verona and a centralised warehouse in Germany. No components shipped from China, as sometimes happens in other realities, but delivery times within 48/72 hours including body-related spare parts.
