Chery ready to share EV platforms with a premium European brand
The Chinese giant is set to seal the deal in the coming days. Two brands have applied for it, according to Automotive News.

Yin Tongyue president of Chery will sign an important collaboration during his upcoming trip to the Old Continent. "There are two premium European brands that intend to use our platform, but the agreement is only planned with one of them, a more premium brand than us." The indiscretion picked up by Automotive News was leaked at an event for the launch of Exeed's new electric suv, Exlantix, which is being developed on Chery's high-end E0X platform.
In Spain, Chery's first production site in Europe
.In addition to the two brands with which it is finalising the platform partnership, Chery is in talks with two other brands on possible collaborations. Furthermore, the Chinese giant based in Wuhu is ready to start producing cars in Spain, its first production site in Europe. This was made official by the Spanish government itself and chief negotiator EV Motors, with talks centred on the production of Chery vehicles in the former Nissan factory closed in 2021.
