The Germanetti family of textile entrepreneurs from Biella has taken over the entire shares of Chiara Boni and Sons, the company owned by the fashion designer Chiara Boni La Petite Robe, in which it had held a stake since 2005 and which it had controlled 50% since 2009. The fashion designer was left with 48%, while 2% belonged to Swiss banker Boris Collardi.

Chiara Boni, recently appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro by President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, launched her brand in 2007. Born in Florence, she made her debut in her hometown in 1971 with her first boutique and by signing the 'You Tarzan me Jane' line. In 1985, with the support of the Gruppo Finanziario Tessile, she founded the company that bears her name. In 2009, Sergio's son Maurizio Germanotti, at the helm of the historic Filatura e Tessitura di Tollegno, joined the company, financing the expansion of the product range, focusing above all on accessories, and the international development of the brand. Last September, a corner was opened in the Attica Citylink department store in the centre of Athens.
