Chiara Ferragni, Codacons and the Associazione Utenti Servizi Radiotelevisivi (Association of Users of Radio and Television Services) have reached an agreement to put an end to any mutual disputes and to generally favour the détente of their respective relations. This was reported in a joint note. "The agreement marks the dual will of the Parties, on the one hand, to put an end to previous disputes and, on the other hand, to look positively towards the future, establishing a climate of cooperation and respect with the aim of fostering concrete initiatives and a constructive dialogue on social issues of common interest," the note reads.

"The agreement provides for the payment by Chiara Ferragni of a sum of money to compensate consumers represented by Codacons and the Associazione Utenti Servizi Radiotelevisivi (Association of Users of Radio and Television Services) who had purchased the 'Pink Christmas' pandoro, and a further amount to reimburse the legal expenses incurred by the aforementioned associations in the various legal proceedings. Codacons and the Associazione Utenti Servizi Radiotelevisivi (Association of Users of Radio and Television Services) will in the next few days contact the consumers who had turned to the same associations in order to make the compensation available to them,' the statement continued.

"An integral part of the agreement is the donation that will be made, by Chiara Ferragni, of a sum of EUR 200,000 in favour of an organisation chosen in agreement between Chiara Ferragni and Codacons, with preference given to initiatives that support women victims of violence," the note underlines. 'Chiara Ferragni has always been particularly sensitive to the issue. Codacons itself is carrying out the 'Oltre il Silenzio' (Beyond Silence) project to assist and support the victims of gender violence in our country, which will end with an important national event in which Chiara Ferragni herself will also take part,' the note reads.

Lawyer Carlo Rienzi, President of Codacons, expresses his 'appreciation for the agreement reached, which is of complete satisfaction for the associations and the consumers they represent, and emphasises the importance of the agreed donation, which will be of concrete help to the most fragile women'.
