Chigi sources: Q8 willing to extend price cap

During the bilateral meeting in Kuwait City between the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and the Emir of Kuwait, it emerged that “Kuwait is willing to extend the price cap on petrol and diesel, which has already been applied by Q8 in recent weeks in response to the Italian Government’s appeal to contain energy costs and protect households and businesses”. This was announced by sources at Palazzo Chigi. The Emir’s willingness, the same sources emphasise, “represents a concrete sign of the strength of relations between Italia and Kuwait and of the Italian Government’s ability to foster constructive dialogue with strategic partners, translating diplomatic engagement into significant measures for citizens and the economy”.
