Chinese brands increased their market share in Europe by 5.5 per cent in August, outperforming sales of heritage brands such as Audi and Renault. Impressive plug-in sales

Chinese brands sell more than Audi and Renault

Europeans respond well to Chinese competitiveness

Volkswagen T-Roc is the best-selling car in August
.Vw's B-suv, the T-Roc, was the best-selling model in Europe between January and August with 14,700 registrations, an increase of 14%. A surprising result given that the model has been on the market for eight years and the second generation was recently introduced. The largest of VW's SUVs, the Tiguan, also recorded a volume increase of 23% and thus occupies fourth position. Its direct rival, the Hyundai Tucson sixth recorded a 28% increase.
