Choose the new European banknotes

There are ten designs in the running for the new ECB banknotes, as revealed by ECB President Christine Lagarde on 23 July 2026: five designs for the decorative motifs for each of the two chosen themes, which are ‘European Culture’ and ‘Nature: rivers and birds’.
