The 'ChorusLife Pietra Ligure' project, presented by Costim, is taking shape, which the Municipality of Pietra Ligure illustrated, discussed and shared with citizens at a crowded Moretti Theatre in the Ligurian city, during the event dedicated to the future of the former Rodriquez shipyards.

During the event, the citizens were given a preview of the ChorusLife Pietra Ligure concept, which aims to redesign and stitch up the urban void of the large disused space of the former Rodriquez Shipyard in order to reopen an area that over the decades has constituted an insurmountable margin and boundary, so as to transform it into a place of cohesion, openness and sociality.

The project that will give new life to the former Rodriquez Shipyards in Pietra Ligure envisages a total investment of more than 150 million euro - with an important spin-off for the area - for the construction of 11,000 square metres of green spaces (public and private), 4,650 square metres of space dedicated to wellness, 200 residential units spread over 17.900 square metres, 2,300 square metres of commercial space, a hotel with about 100 rooms (overlooking the sea and set in a large green area), 770 private and public parking spaces, and a private pleasure marina with about 500 total berths, two areas dedicated to recreational and sports activities, and a jogging, biking, and skating track.

The project aims to achieve Leed and Well certifications, related to the individual buildings and the new district that will be able to count on a 4-star hotel that, together with the residences and the multifunctional building, will offer a better quality of life, thanks to splendid views of the sea and the urban park enriched with sports and cycling services, as well as personal design environments. The wellness area dedicated to care and relaxation will include an exclusive spa that aims to be a reference point not only for the city, but also for a tourist segment that is increasingly seeking destinations and experiences capable of combining nature, food and wine, and wellness.

ChorusLife Pietra Ligure will represent the concrete application of the replicability concept of the innovative ChorusLife Bergamo project developed by Costim, which works on the digitisation and innovation of large urban regeneration projects. The Bergamo site is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

"As we had pledged to do," said Luigi De Vincenzi, mayor of Pietra Ligure, "we are presenting and sharing with the citizens the current planning guidelines and our vision for the construction site area. The redevelopment of this area is a vital aspect for the future of Pietra Ligure'.

"ChorusLife Pietra Ligure," emphasised Davide Albertini Petroni, CEO of Costim, "wants to contribute to the growth of the city as a destination with a great vocation for tourism and culture, creating a new type of 'urban village' that embraces humanistic and sustainable principles, liveable all year round with cultural and social services and activities.
