Cinturato Winter 3, Pirelli's new winter tyre debuts

Pirelli has unveiled the new Cinturato Winter 3, a high-performance winter tyre designed for saloons and crossovers to offer greater safety and control on snow and wet.

What makes the difference is the new tread design, with a zig-zag central channel, optimised sipes and Snow Keeper Teeth that improves traction and mileage. The development was achieved through Virtual Development techniques and the use of the Virtual Compounder, a tool based on artificial intelligence for selecting the most efficient materials.

The Dual-Core Polymer compound, derived from the P Zero Winter 2, ensures grip on snow and wet and greater resistance to wear. Tests were also conducted at the Pirelli Sottozero Center in Lapland, where the Winter 3 was the first to take advantage of the new indoor facility that allows winter testing, as well as summer testing. Already available in more than 35 sizes from 16 to 20 inches, the new Cinturato also offers Elect technology, to increase the autonomy of electric vehicles, and Pncs, to reduce noise in the passenger compartment. virtual development has significantly reduced development time.

The new product completes Pirelli's winter offer alongside the P Zero Winter 2 for high performance cars and the Scorpion Winter 2 for high performance SUV's. A range that responds with different products to the growing demand for specialised winter tyres in 18 inch sizes, typical of the higher segments. High mobility at low temperatures provides better grip on snow, without compromising grip on wet or dry surfaces. In addition, high wear resistance further broadens the range of use.
