Ciro Andolfi arrested, one of the 100 most dangerous fugitives
He was found inside a hiding place and arrested by the Carabinieri of the Nucleo Investigativo di Napoli
Ciro Andolfi, born in 1976, was found inside a hiding place and arrested by the Carabinieri of the Naples Investigative Nucleus. He has been wanted since 2022, as the recipient of a prison order for a residual sentence of 8 years, 3 months and 10 days, for the crimes of mafia-type criminal association, extortion in conspiracy aggravated by the mafia method and bribery.
The capture of the fugitive, included in the Ministry of the Interior's list of the top 100 most dangerous, took place in the Barra district of Naples, after an articulated investigation coordinated by the Anti-Mafia District Directorate of Naples and a massive raid carried out by the military of the Naples Carabinieri Provincial Command, in which specialised operational units were also employed.
Ciro Andolfi, believed to be a member of the 'Andolfi Cuccaro' Camorra clan, operating in the eastern area of Naples and in particular in the Barra district, was tracked down by the Naples CC Investigative Nucleus soldiers inside a masonry hiding place in a searched flat.
The Carabinieri of the Naples Investigative Unit executed the order, which was issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Naples Court of Appeal. This is - the carabinieri point out - the 22nd arrest of a fugitive in one year.
