Citroën C5 aircross, what the plug-in hybrid with 90 km range looks and feels like
The French SUV offers new styling and completes the range with the 195 hp phev. The new model from the French stellantsi brand is also offered in an electric variant and is based on the STLA Medium platform.
Citroën completes the C5 Aircross range with two powertrains, the 195 hp plug-in and the electric with long range battery that reaches over 600 km of autonomy, against the 520 of the standard version. We were in Majorca, Spain, to road test the French manufacturer's new plug-in hybrid technology that is offered at a list price starting at 43,000 euros.
Citroën C5 Aircross, style and interior
From concept to production car while maintaining some of the brand's styling cues combined with proportions typical of a C-suv. Citroën C5 Aircross represents a key model in the brand's range and is designed specifically for families.
Built on the Stellantis Group's Stla Medium platform, the C5 Aircross boasts generous dimensions: 4,652 mm long, 1,936 mm wide, 1,690 mm high and with a load capacity that increases from 651 litres to 1,985 litres. Dimensions that make it a viable choice for families.
During the test drive we tried both the long range electric version and the plug-in hybrid and in both cases we found a muscular design at the front and ¾ of the car while at the rear we found an almost vertical tailgate closure to maximise load capacity.
Emphasising the presence on the road are the alloy wheels, available in 19- and 20-inch sizes, 18-inch wheels are reserved for the Hybrid 145 version.
