CNA: collaboration with the Ministry resumes with the start of the new school year
Collaborative activities, both those already undertaken and those to be undertaken, are being strengthened under the memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting collaboration and dialogue between the education and training system and the world of work
With the start of the 26/27 academic year, the collaborative activities already undertaken and those to be undertaken under the memorandum of understanding between the CNA and the Ministry of Education and Merit – aimed at promoting collaboration and dialogue between the education and training system and the world of work – are being resumed and expanded.
The protocol
The memorandum of understanding signed last year by the Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, and the National President of the CNA, Dario Costantini, sees the Ministry and the Association at the forefront of a vital public-private partnership in the fields of employment and education.
Technical and professional skills
The Ministry and the CNA have, in fact, committed to helping students acquire technical and vocational skills resulting from a joint planning process, to promote collaboration between educational institutions and the CNA in order to open up new opportunities in innovative technical and vocational training; to support student guidance activities to help them make informed choices regarding their career prospects; and to promote a system that also guides students towards professional projects.
Permanent Observatory
Among the operational measures provided for in the protocol, the Ministry is to establish the Permanent Observatory on Businesses to gather information, encourage the development of projects and carry out fact-finding surveys. Meanwhile, as part of the ‘Artisanry and Schools’ project launched by the Confederation, the CNA is to the launch of a series of initiatives, including the ‘Crafts Career Day’ in schools and with families, and the ‘Artisans in the Classroom’ award, dedicated to the best business ideas developed by pupils.
Bringing together job seekers and employers
CNA President Costantini stated: “We are proud to continue and strengthen a programme based on a strong partnership with the public education sector, thanks to Minister Valditara, to reduce the mismatch between labour supply and demand and to help students choose training pathways that guarantee attractive opportunities in the world of work. This is work we will continue to carry out in the interests of our young people and Italian businesses”.
