Comau completes the acquisition of Automha, a company in the logistics sector, and opens a new industrial development front. "The strategic investment by Comau represents a further step towards the creation of an Italian automation pole projected towards the future and will exploit the strong synergies between the two brands to create value for customers and shareholders in different markets around the world," the Group wrote in a note.

"Thanks to the acquisition of Automha, Comau's turnover will increase from over 1 billion to 1.1 billion. Our business diversification strategy is also speeding up, with revenues from non-automotive projects rising from 8% to 15% in 2025,' explains CEO Pietro Gorlier, who insists on synergies in the production area with the acquired company, so much so that from September, at the Grugliasco plant, 'we will start production of one of Automha's products, to support their production capacity. It is a new-generation shuttle designed for automated storage, inside automated shelves,' explains Gorlier.

The transaction is in line with Comau's strategy to accelerate diversification into high-growth markets, leveraging the Group's industrial core linked to industrial robotics, digitally driven automation and human-machine collaboration technology. The acquisition will also ensure, Comau assures, "continuity for Automha's current structure and customers, while allowing for an expansion of its global presence and services through the Comau brand".

Automha will continue to operate with the same organisation and strategic vision. Franco Togni will retain his position as CEO while Gianni Togni and Roberta Togni, in addition to continuing in their current roles, will join Comau's Executive Committee "to contribute to the development of both companies". Comau, controlled by the One Equity Partners fund after the sale of the majority stake by Stellantis, is based in Turin and has 7 innovation centres and 11 production plants in 11 countries, with 3,800 employees. Automha is based in Bergamo and has 4 branches and production plants in Italy and China, with a total of 280 employees.
