Commerz: Klingbeil says the company will remain listed; negotiations with UniCredit are proceeding responsibly

This is what the German Finance Minister, Lars Klingbeil, told Reuters, following a meeting with the CEO of UniCredit regarding the possible acquisition of Commerzbank by the bank based in Piazza Gae Aulenti. The German Ministry of Finance has called for Commerzbank to remain listed on the stock exchange, for its Frankfurt headquarters to be retained, and for lending to German medium-sized enterprises to continue, both at home and abroad.
