Commerz: Orlopp says UniCredit cannot decide on its own; dialogue is needed
Even when it has a majority at the next general meeting
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - “Even when UniCredit secures a majority at the next shareholders’ meeting, it will not be able to decide unilaterally on fundamental structural measures.” This was stated by Commerzbank’s CEO, Bettina Orlopp, whilst commenting on the German bank’s first-half results. “This creates a clear responsibility for both parties,” she added, “and requires a mutual understanding of the business model and the involvement of all stakeholders.” To achieve a result that creates value, therefore, “constructive dialogue” will be needed.
