The activities of the Fondazione Imprese e Competenze per il Made in Italy, set up with the aim of promoting and enhancing the business culture among students and in schools, and fostering the acquisition of the skills required by the world of production, officially begins.
Set up by Article 19 of the framework law on Italian manufacturing, the Foundation, chaired by entrepreneur Giovanni Brugnoli, has among its objectives that of strengthening the link between the world of business and the world of training, considering that even today the 'mismatch' affects almost one out of every two hires, with peaks of 60/70% for large sectors of Italian manufacturing, from mechatronics to wood and furniture; from the agro-industry to textiles-fashion-clothing.
With the Meloni government's reforms, from the 4+2, to the Made in Italy high school, to the relaunch of the Its Academy, 'the school is opening up, with conviction, to business and work,' stressed Education and Merit Minister Giuseppe Valditara. 'Even in the new guidelines on civic education, for the first time, it is opening up to the importance of private economic initiative and the centrality of employment.
As of September, 10,000 students are already enrolled in the new technological vocational school. And the Made in Italy high school is also doing well: "To date there are 511 enrolments, last year there were 420, so there is an increase of over 20%," Valditara added.
On the same wavelength was the Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso: 'Identity and innovation are the two tracks on which the Made in Italy train runs in the world,' he said. 'The Foundation will make it possible to systemise everything that is commendably being done by associations, districts and individual companies. It is essential that training takes the leap forward in order to mould skills that will be used in the coming years to win the challenge of the future'.
