by Vera Viola
Working together to share projects, to grow: these are the objectives of the Agreement signed by the Small Industry Committee of the Union of Industrialists and the companies of Rome, Frosinone, Latina, Rieti, Viterbo, the Small Industry Committee of the Rome Area of Unindustria and the Small Industry Group of the Union of Industrialists of Naples.
This is the first initiative of its kind, aimed at promoting moments of confrontation and exchange between the companies of the signatory associations, through the realisation of missions, B2B meetings, company visits and joint projects, also in collaboration with the world of training and local institutions. The projects in the field are of different types: they range from interventions in the suburbs, to close cooperation in view of events, including the America's Cup, training and innovation paths.
"We are thinking of a collaboration that can also be extended to other subjects _ says Guido Bourelly, president of the Gruppo Piccola Industria dell'Unione Industriali Napoli (Small Industry Group of the Industrial Union of Naples) _ especially when it comes to social interventions for the recovery of suburbs or other degraded areas. We will also open discussions with third sector operators and universities'. Cristiano Dionisi, president of the Small Industry Committee of the Union of Industrialists and Enterprises of Rome, Frosinone, Latina, Rieti and Viterbo, emphasises above all the importance of large events and the need for greater collaboration. "In Rome this year there is the Jubilee, Naples in 2025 is the capital of business culture, and between 2026 and 2027 it will host sailing competitions and the Americ's Cup _ says Dionisi _ We are talking about two territories that are Europe's gateway to the Mediterranean. We will work with the priority objective of making our companies grow,' he says.
Finally, Oscar Ricci, President of the Rome Area Unindustria Small Industry Committee, points out: 'Today we are taking a first step, of a medium-long term project. We are an important part of the fabric of the two areas, which have a total of 200,000 companies'. The presentation of the agreement was also attended by the President of the Small Industry of Campania, Anna Del Sorbo.
Once the pact has been signed, the technical groups are already at work to carry out the first projects between Naples and Lazio.
