Confindustria private assembly unanimously approves all proposals
Vice Presidents become 16. More efficient election process.
The Confindustria Privy Assembly of Delegates, which met today in the Auditorium della Tecnica in Viale dell'Astronomia, unanimously approved the reform of the Statute, introducing significant novelties regarding governance, the composition of the presidential team and the procedure for the renewal of the President.
The revision stemmed from a need that emerged during the consultations for the 2024 confederal presidency renewal, which President Orsini and his team followed up by setting up the Reform Commission.
Among the main interventions is the expansion of the Vice Presidents' team from the current ten to a maximum of sixteen, with the aim of strengthening representation capacity, responsibility for thematic delegations and participation within the confederal governance.
They thus take on the role of Vice Presidents: Leopoldo Destro for Transport, Logistics, and Tourism Industry; Riccardo Di Stefano for Education and Open Innovation; Giorgio Marsiaj for Aerospace; Aurelio Regina for Energy; Antonio Gozzi for European Strategic Autonomy, Mattei Plan, and Competitiveness Policies in Relations with European Institutions; and Francesco Somma for Business Culture and Legal Certainty.
Particularly relevant are the novelties concerning the procedure for the renewal of the Presidency, which has been remodelled to ensure greater effectiveness, transparency and clarity in all organisational steps: an eight-week time window dedicated to the electoral activity is introduced, during which it will be possible to illustrate the programme lines to the Confederated Associations' bodies and carry out external communication initiatives.
